Hence proved. There is no smoke without fire. Since last year, the speculations of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's wedding have been rife and when both applied for leave at their respective workplaces around the same time, the news was almost confirmed. But finally it happened yesterday. Far away in Italy, away from Indian media and fans, the power couple tied the knot. The distance could not contain the temptation to get a scoop from the grand wedding and here it is, the internet is breaking with their wedding pics and videos.

Otherwise the Pakistani bridal get-up of Anushka Sharma from Aae Dil Hai Mushkil was the only picture that went well with any write-up on Virushka’s wedding. Till yesterday, as you google the keywords Anushka Sharma wedding, the same pics from different angles would be thrown at you. But it is nothing close to what Anushka actually looked like on her big day.

Ditching the traditional red lehenga, the Jab Harry Met Sejal star glittered in a pastel bridal attire with floral work to add a dash of colour. But it was her jewellery choices that stole the show - a beautiful amalgamation of diamonds, precious stones, beads and pearls. Teaming a traditional choker with a lavishly designed ranihaar, she looked like a vision. Her mathapatta and nathiya added the deserved sparkle to her look. Not to mention, the bedazzling jhumkas. In her bridal ensemble, she was the star of the day. Even during the ring ceremony, Anushka looked charming in her red designer saree and a traditional gold jewellery set in tune with its border. Oops! Did we fail to even notice the Indian cricket team captain by her side. Just can't take our eyes off this mesmerising beauty.

A section of media and fans are upset over their denial mode. But we feel, the couple had been dropping enough hints - attending social dos together, friends' weddings as a couple and yes, the Manyavar ad. Otherwise we have scores of stars hiding their marital status to ensure the longevity of their career. For instance, Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla...the list can go on.

First let’s make it clear. Not everyone living in South India is Mallu and particularly, not everyone living in Karnataka speaks Kannada.
